Furniture refinishing and repair in Dover, NJ

Wobbly chairs, water-ringed tables, dressers that have been through three moves and two children. Nothing here is beyond saving — and a good repair costs far less than replacing what you already own.

How it works

  1. Send photographs on WhatsApp to (973) 876-6136 — the whole piece and close-ups of the damage.
  2. We reply with a range, usually the same day, and tell you honestly if the piece is not worth the work.
  3. We collect it, or you drop it at the shop in Dover.
  4. Firm written price once we have inspected it. No surprises afterwards.
  5. We deliver it back and you see it in your own light before you pay the balance.

Common questions

How much does furniture refinishing cost?

Most single pieces fall between $275 and $1,400. A dining chair is typically $150 to $275, a dresser $550 to $1,400 and a dining table $650 to $1,400. Structural repairs on their own start around $150. We give a range from photographs and a firm price after inspection.

Is it worth refinishing my furniture or should I just buy new?

If the piece is solid wood, the answer is almost always yes — solid wood furniture of the quality made forty or a hundred years ago costs several thousand dollars to buy new today. If it is particle board with a photographic laminate, we will tell you it is not worth it. We would rather say so than take the job.

Do you pick up and deliver?

Yes, across Morris County and much of northern New Jersey. Typically $50 to $150 each way depending on distance and size. You are also welcome to drop pieces at the shop in Dover.

How long does it take?

Small repairs a few days. A full refinish on a single piece is usually two to four weeks — most of that is curing time between coats, which cannot be rushed without the finish paying for it later.
